FTR ABS DLC Cable

This product is ONLY compatible with the IDSS interface modules pictured below. This cable must be used with either the legacy plastic IDSS interface module or an IDSS tablet PC.
When used in tandem with the FTR ABS DLC Y-Cable and an IDSS interface module or tablet PC, this cable enables ABS diagnostic communication on the Isuzu FTR. Since the ABS diagnostic communication circuits on the FTR are not located in the DLC, these two cables are required in order to properly diagnose the ABS system on the Isuzu FTR.

To connect the FTR ABS cables:
  1. Connect “Y-Cable” to DLC (16 Pin) and Mimamori Download Connector (10 Pin) as shown in the illustration.
  2. Connect ABS DLC Cable (with 2 red connectors) to the “Y-Cable”
  3. Connect ABS DLC Cable to either IDSS tablet PC or IDSS Interface Module as shown in the illustration
  4. Use IDSS and Select FTR or Auto Connect to use Scan Tool or Programming

FTR ABS DLC Y-Cable

This product is NOT compatible with the legacy IDSS aluminum interface module. This cable must be used with either the newer plastic IDSS interface module or an IDSS tablet PC.
When used in tandem with the FTR ABS DLC Cable and an IDSS interface module or tablet PC, this cable enables ABS diagnostic communication on the Isuzu FTR. HDOBD (16-to-9 Pin) Adapter Cable

This adapter cable is deemed critical to the diagnosis and/or repair of the 2022 Isuzu NQR & NRR Gas Vehicle.

The Isuzu NQR/NRR Gas vehicle uses a 9 pin HDOBD connector similar to most Class 8 vehicles. In order to connect to IDSS, this 16 pin to 9 pin adapter will be needed. Connect this 16-to-9 pin adapter to either the FTR Y-Cable for complete vehicle diagnosis or just the red/red DLC cable for ECM programming, both of which are available for sale in the IsuzuTruckService.com store.

Connecting new cables to IDSS & NQR/NRR N-Gas 6.0L: (See figure below for detail)
  1. Connect 16-to-9 pin adapter to HDOBD 9 pin vehicle connector.
  2. Connect Y-Cable to 16-to-9 pin adapter & ABS diagnostic connector (10 Pin) as shown in the figure below.
  3. Connect ABS DLC Cable (with 2 red connectors) to the "Y-Cable"
  4. Connect ABS DLC Cable to either IDSS tablet or IDSS Interface Module.
  5. Use IDSS and Select 2022 Gas 6.0L or Auto Connect to use Scan Tool or Programming

This replacement hardware will allow you to use the IDSS software that is already installed on your PC or laptop in the event your original hardware is lost, broken or inoperable.

This replacement hardware is intended for users who have previously purchased the IDSS Interface Module Kit, available in the store under the Isuzu Diagnostic Tools section. A valid registration key is required in order to use the software, which is not included with this item.
This product has the following minimum PC requirements in order to run properly:
  1. Standalone laptop PC or desktop PC with hard drive partitioned
  2. Windows 10. (32 and 64-bit operating systems are supported)
  3. 2.0 GHz or higher Pentium processor
  4. 40 GB hard drive minimum (80 GB hard drive recommended)
  5. At least 2 GB (32-bit) or 4 GB (64-bit) RAM
  6. DVD 8X drive (single layer) or 6X drive (dual layer) required
  7. At least one USB 2.0 port
  8. High speed broadband internet connection
  9. PC screen resolution set to at least 1024x768 in order to ensure proper functionality. (Use the Control Panel PC display settings to change your screen resolution, if required.
